Two Copycat Arby's Roast Beef Copycat sandwiches served on a teal platter dripping with Arby's and Horsey Sauce.

When it comes to fast food, Arby's Roast Beef Sandwich is by far one of my favorites. However, after moving out of the DFW Metroplex to a small town in East Texas, the closest Arby's to me is thirty minutes in any which direction. This is exactly what lead me to create a copycat recipe for these famous sandwiches. Let me tell you, it's much much easier than you might think.

How much is Arby's Roast Beef Sandwich

While not one of my original reasons, the cost of making them vs buying them became very apparent. I made these sandwiches for Myself, Wife, Son, Daughter, Niece, and Nephew. I thought wow…this would've been expensive at the restaurant.

Total, I made eight sandwiches, everyone had a drink which I calculated into the cost and we bought some frozen Arby's curly fries.

OH…I almost forgot, this also includes homemade Arby's and Horsey sauce.

So, essentially you're looking at 8 Giant Roast Beef sandwich meals with regular fries and a drink. While this would normally cost $67.68 at an Arby's Restaurant it cost me $30.52 to make. Plus I had leftover sauces.

Now, this isn't to say you shouldn't go out to eat or go to Arby's. They have hard working employees to pay, bills, overhead, etc. Plus, they're food is delicious and they have the meats!

However, if you're a ways away from one of their locations and have a craving or a large group to feed just know that you can do it for half the price!

Let's get started!

How to make Arby's Roast Beef (Copycat Recipe) Sandwiches

This is one of the easiest recipes I've ever made.

First, in a medium sauce pan begin by boiling beef broth. The amount broth that you boil depends on how many sandwiches you're making. As does the amount of roast beef and buns, obviously.

If you want to be as close to Arby's as possible, a regular Arby's Roast Beef Sandwich has 3 ounces of meat. The double is…well…double at 6 ounces. So you can certainly weigh out the roast beef into piles if you'd like.

Once you have the piles of roast beef weighed out, simply add them to the boiling beef broth for about 2 minutes until they're fully heated and are almost wilting a bit. Now, place the boiled roast beef on sesame seed split-top buns, top with Homemade Arby's Sauce and Homemade Horsey Sauce.

I like to serve these with Arby's frozen curly fries for the full experience.

BOOM! There you have it, Arby's Roast Beef (Copycat Recipe) Sandwiches.
